Biography

Lauren is a Senior Associate with Renner Otto. She focuses her practice in the area of trademark law, counseling clients to help them make informed decisions regarding the use, application and enforcement of their brand assets.

Lauren is involved in all aspects of trademark prosecution, where she regularly performs full U.S. and foreign trademark availability searches and drafts office action responses to overcome denials of trademark registrations before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She also assists clients manage their domestic and foreign trademark portfolios through monitoring, maintenance, and enforcement, and has assisted in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Lauren appreciates the creative aspects of brand protection strategy, while prioritizing a practical approach to balancing the legal and commercial aspects of safeguarding valuable IP assets.

Lauren graduated from the Golden Gate University School of Law, where she received a Certificate of Specialization with Distinction in Intellectual Property. Lauren’s interest in intellectual property law began during her time at Columbia College Chicago, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Arts, Entertainment and Media Management.
