Interferences & Derivations
Interference and derivation proceedings involve disputes over who invented first, or who should be entitled to a patent when multiple people claim to have invented the same thing. They are quasi-litigation proceedings that are held before the Patent Office. Both an interference and a derivation involve discovery regarding inventorship, similar to litigation in court. We can help protect your interests whether you believe someone has attempted to patent your invention or whether your patent is being challenged by another.
