Biography
Christian possesses over two decades of intellectual property experience guiding clients through every aspect of the patent prosecution process. He is skilled at researching patentability and assisting clients with advice on patent validity. He further supports his clients in protecting their innovation by conducting noninfringement assessments including opinions, and is experienced in infringement litigation. He is also adept at matters concerning intellectual property development and sales, patent licensing, and technology transfer issues. His experience extends to drafting and reviewing government research agreements and research and development agreements.
Christian received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Ohio Northern University. He brings his technical expertise to matters involving lighting, semiconductor manufacturing, computer software, e-commerce, wireless networks and loyalty reward processing, and image and document processing.
Prior to his law firm experience, Christian served as a technology transfer specialist for a university. He gained valuable experience managing their intellectual property portfolio and negotiating and drafting licenses for university-held intellectual property. By interacting with both the general counsel's office and outside patent counsel, he developed a unique appreciation for the role of each, which continues to inform his dedication to robust client service.
