2021 was a great year! We are fortunate and appreciative that we were able to return to the office to enjoy our new space and regain some sense of normalcy. Slowly but surely, we saw signs of life return to our neighborhood in downtown Cleveland, restaurants reopening, Playhouse Square shows returning, and more people out and about for social interaction. The new variant slowed things down a bit, but we are not deterred. We continue forward with the same positive outlook.

As travel has been curtailed, we miss our friends and associates throughout the country and overseas. We look forward to the day we can resume regular and safe travel again. Even in these unique times, our network of foreign firms remains strong and continues to grow through networking events, both in-person and now virtually. We added over 50 new clients last year, and continue to work on business development to bring in more this year.

Our success is due to our people, many of which had a great 2021. Rita Kline came on board as a trademark and copyright partner. Three new associate attorneys, six new IP operations specialists, two new law clerks, and a new patent agent all joined us in 2021. The plan for 2022 is to continue to get better, grow and adapt to best serve our clients.
